Welcome to Ticket Sharing. I am a long-time Seattle Mariners full season ticket holder, and I've divided my two seats into one-quarter shares of the 81 regular season home games.

These seats are located at Section 124, Row 11, Seats 3-4. This is in the premier seating area along the first-base line, and seven rows behind the Mariners dugout.

The cost of the tickets is equal to the face value price. Season ticket prices vary by game, depending on the day and opponent. There are four ticket price levels: single, double, triple, and home run.

I split the home schedule into 4 full group shares - A, B, C, and D. Each share is allocated about 20 games. To be fair, the games are distributed such that each group package is roughly equivalent.

If the Mariners are in contention for the playoffs, they will announce their policy about ticket distribution at that time. Group share partners will then have the opportunity to purchase a portion of these tickets.

How will my games get determined?

For this listing, you would offer to purchase a certain number of games and tickets from the Season Ticket Holder. The actual games and tickets you would get would be determined at a later date using the the following method:

Sequence Draft
Games will be allotted to partners based on chronological order of the games in season. Each partner will be assigned a number in a sequence then each game in the season will be assigned based on the sequence. The partner first in the sequence will get game number 1, the partner second in the sequence gets game number 2, and so on. The sequence repeats until all games have been selected.

Are the games split into the actual Mariners 20 game plan Calendar (A B C D plans)? Or selected by you? (If so do you have a list of what games are in each plan?)
  • The Mariners 20-game plan packages are a baseline, with a few modifications I made to even things out. I maintain a web site with detailed schedules and metrics in order to help compare the group shares. Each partner selects a preferred group and alternate. If multiple partners prefer the same group, we negotiate or flip a coin.

Which specific games are in each Group share package?
  • The specific games will be determined in January. I will use the Mariners 20-game plan schedules as a starting point, then tweak them to maximize fair distribution. The goal is to balance weekend/weekday, day/night, ticket cost, and mix of opposing teams. Group A will have opening day and probably 21 games. Groups B, C, and D will have 20 games each. Individual games may be swapped later as needed.
